Eial Ovin

I was born in Kibbutz Sa’ar, nestled in the Western Galilee, just a few miles from the Lebanon border—a place where the earth meets the sea.

Growing up, my life was a constant blend of bold adventures, time in nature, and hands-on craftsmanship. Years later, after facing the long, quiet battle of PTSD following my military service, I returned to the one place that still felt like home: the woodshop.

The Healing Mezuzah Project was born from that return. It's where I take the memories of my past, the resilience I’ve built, and my deep connection to this land—and turn them into something sacred. Using olive wood from my kibbutz, I craft mezuzahs that carry a message of healing, memory, and home.

Team Paz

"Tzevet" Paz is Eial's squad in the Israeli Defense Force. Eial served in the special forces of the Paratroopers along side many brave soldiers during operation protective edge in 2014. Eial's story speaks about his ability to cope with much of his past through the creation of art.
